The Fields Institute is proud to welcome Stephen Smale (Fields Medal 1966,
Wolf Prize 2007), who will deliver the Coxeter Lecture Series as part of the
Thematic Program on Discrete Geometry and Applications. Professor Smale will
discuss recent developments in the areas of learning theory and the geometry
of data, illustrating how these subjects contribute to the mathematical
foundation of immunology.
