[cmath] Math in Moscow Scholarship Program

The Canadian Mathematical Society (CMS), with the support of the Natural 
Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), is inviting 
applications from students for the fall Math in Moscow Scholarship Program.


One scholarship of $9000 will be awarded to a Canadian undergraduate 
student registered in a mathematics or computer science program to 
attend the Math in Moscow program at the Independent University of 
Moscow for the Winter 2011 semester.


The Math in Moscow program provides a fifteen-week-long research 
experience for students, not only with other talented and highly 
motivated undergraduates, but also with some of the world's leading 
mathematicians. Students will be learning and discovering mathematics in 
an environment similar in spirit to that of an NSERC summer scholarship, 
but with much broader representation from a world-class international 
community. This is an excellent preparation for those who intend to 
pursue graduate studies in mathematics.

La Société mathématique du Canada (SMC), avec l'appui du Conseil de 
recherches en sciences naturelles et en génie (CRSNG), invite les 
étudiants à présenter leurs demandes dans le cadre du Programme de 
bourses Math à Moscou de l'automne.


Une bourse de 9 000 $ sera remise à un étudiant canadien de premier 
cycle inscrit à un programme de mathématiques ou de sciences 
informatiques. Le boursier fera partie du programme Math à Moscou à la 
Independent University de Moscou, au cours du trimestre d'hiver de 2011.


Le programme Math à Moscou procurera aux étudiants et aux étudiantes une 
expérience de recherche de quinze semaines non seulement avec d'autres 
futurs mathématiciens talentueux et très motivés, mais aussi avec 
plusieurs mathématiciens et mathématiciennes de renommée internationale. 
Les participants étudieront les mathématiques dans un milieu semblable à 
celui que procurent les bourses d'été du CRSNG, mais auprès d'un nombre 
beaucoup plus élevé de représentants de réputation internationale de la 
communauté mathématique. C'est une excellente préparation pour ceux et 
celles qui se destinent à des études supérieures en mathématiques.
