      Mathematics and Statistics
      Assistant Professor (Tenure Track)

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics invites applications for a
tenure-track Assistant Professor position in statistics or probability
effective July 1, 2011. The Department has a strong commitment to
research, graduate teaching and supervision, and offers a broad range of
undergraduate programs in mathematics, statistics, and actuarial
science. The successful candidate will be expected to carry out an
ongoing research program that supports and complements the Department's
current research interests and to maintain an outstanding teaching
record at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Existing research
areas in the Department include survival analysis, statistical analysis
of discrete data, longitudinal data analysis, limit theorems in
probability, asymptotic statistics, statistical analysis with incomplete
data, analysis of time series data, multiphase sampling design,
Schramm-Loewner evolution, loop-erased random walks, Brownian motion,
and statistical mechanics.

*Qualifications:
* Candidates must have completed or be near the completion of a Ph.D. in
statistics, probability, or a closely related area of the mathematical
sciences.
