Hello,

We're trying to get the following information into the hands of as
many mathematically-inclined undergraduate students as possible.
Could you please forward the message below to undergraduate students
in any mathematical discipline such as mathematics, computer science,
physics, statistics and so on.

We really appreciate the assistance in helping inform Canadian
undergrads about this event. To help us with our logistical tracking
if you have the energy could you please send an email confirming that
you have sent this to the undergraduates to CUMC.2010 at gmail.com.

Thank you!

Richard Zsolt

Attention Undergraduate Math Students!

Are you a student who is interested in Mathematics?

Registration for the 17th Annual Canadian Undergraduate Mathematics
Conference is now open!
Don't miss an exciting opportunity this summer! Hosted at the
University of Waterloo from July 6th to July 10th, come take part in
the premier Undergraduate Mathematics event in North America.

Visit the conference website at <>http://cumc.math.ca

Update: For students who need help with travel expenses, consider the
following option:

The Department of Combinatorics & Optimization at the University of
Waterloo is offering "Summer School in Combinatorics", from July 5 -
July 6, that offers paid travel to and from Waterloo, free
registration, paid meals, and of course great math. This may be very
helpful to those who want to learn more mathematics and have trouble
getting financial assistance to come to Waterloo. Anyone who attends
the Summer School is encouraged to stick around for a few more days
and enjoy the CUMC. For more information, go to the Summer School
site at:

If you are an undergraduate student who is interested in Mathematics,
don't miss this year's conference. It's a fantastic opportunity to
learn more mathematics, meet other students around the country, and
have a great time!

What is the Canadian Undergraduate Mathematics Conference:

The Canadian Undergraduate Mathematics Conference (CUMC) is an annual
gathering of undergraduate students with interests in the
mathematical sciences. Run by undergraduates for undergraduates, it
is the largest event of its kind in North America, and no other
similar student conference has run for 17 consecutive years. Each
year it attracts over a hundred students of all abilities, from
diverse fields such as pure math, applied math, physics, economics,
bioinformatics, statistics, computer science, mathematical finance,
and actuarial science.

Why attend the CUMC?

We encourage students who are interested in any math-related field to
participate. This is a great opportunity to not only learn about new
areas of mathematics, but also to meet students from across the
country with similar interests, and to practice giving a mathematical
talk (which is encouraged but not required).

The conference provides an inclusive, non-competitive environment for
students of all abilities to meet, exchange ideas and socialize with
others interested in math. This is an invaluable opportunity to
learn, travel, and become exposed to the broader mathematical world
outside of the classroom.
