Algebraic Combinatorixx will be held at the Banff International Research
Station (BIRS) May 22-27, 2011. This 5-day workshop will bring together
senior and junior female mathematicians to collaborate on cutting-edge
research problems and to forge mentoring networks, with the long-term goal
of increasing and strengthening the participation of women in algebraic
combinatorics and related fields of research. The workshop will focus on
combinatorics and its connections with representation theory, mathematical
physics, statistical mechanics algebraic geometry, knot theory, symmetric
functions, and invariant theory.

For information on how to apply, email combinatorixx at gmail.com. The number
of participants is limited. Applications should be received by May 1,
2010. Early career (graduate students and non-tenured) algebraic
combinatorialists are especially encouraged to apply. More information on
the workshop will appear at the website
http://www.birs.ca/birspages.php?task=displayevent&event_id=11w5025.
