TENURE-TRACK POSITION IN INTERDISCIPLINARY STUDIES AND MATHEMATICS AT 
LAKEHEAD UNIVERSITY (ORILLIA CAMPUS)

The Department of Interdisciplinary Studies at the Orillia Campus of
Lakehead University invites applications for a tenure-track position in
Interdisciplinary Studies and Mathematics at a rank commensurate with
experience and qualifications.  This is a joint appointment with the
Department of Mathematical Sciences and commences August 1, 2010.

Applicants should have completed a PhD in Mathematics by the time of
appointment and provide evidence of a clearly-defined research program
leading to publication and the potential for research funding.
Successful candidates must be able to teach a wide variety of
undergraduate and graduate level math courses.  Preference will be given
to candidates whose research interests complement those of current 
faculty.  Qualified candidates who have an interest in interdisciplinary 
education and who are capable of teaching in the Inquiry program are
especially encouraged to apply.

Applicants should submit a letter of interest, curriculum vitae,
a statement of their research interests, and evidence of teaching 
effectiveness (e.g. a statement of teaching philosophy, teaching 
evaluations), and arrange for at least three letters of reference to be
