MITACS accepts networking proposals three times annually, on January 4, April 30, and September 10. For detailed submission instructions, guidelines, and a template for your submission please visit the MITACS web page at www.mitacs.ca/goto/callsEN<http://www.mitacs.ca/goto/callsEN>
MITACS has funding available for the following scientific events:

 1.  Hot Topic Events: networking or training events in any academic discipline that:
    *   Target a provincial priority area; and/or
    *   Provide opportunities for academics to interact with the non-academic sector or with other disciplines with whom they do not normally interact.
Since they are subject to the availability of provincial funding, Hot Topic Events must take place in BC, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Newfoundland, or PEI.

 1.  Mathematical Sciences Networking Events: workshops, conferences, roundtables or other similar events that have a significant connection with MITACS-NCE theme areas or projects and
    *   Involve applications of mathematical sciences to problems with major economic or societal impact;
    *   Leverage significant participation from non-academic organizations.
 2.  Mathematical Sciences Student Training Events: summer schools, tutorials, workshops, short courses or other similar events that provide graduate students and postdoctoral fellows with technical training that augment their normal program of study.
We are particularly interested in events with significant graduate student participation.

MITACS propose du financement pour les activités scientifiques suivantes :

 1.  Événements d'actualité : activités de réseautage ou de formation, toutes disciplines universitaires confondues, qui :
    *   ciblent un domaine provincial prioritaire; et/ou
    *   offrent la possibilité aux membres de milieu universitaire d'interagir avec les intervenants extrascolaires ou d'autres disciplines avec qui ils ne dialoguent pas habituellement.
Étant assujettis à la disponibilité du financement provincial, les événements d'actualité doivent se dérouler en Colombie-Britannique, en Saskatchewan, en Ontario, à Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador ou à l'Île-du-Prince-Édouard.

 1.  Activités de réseautage en sciences mathématiques : ateliers, conférences, tables rondes ou autres activités similaires présentant un lien important avec les projets ou domaines thématiques du RCE MITACS et qui :
    *   comportent l'application des sciences mathématiques aux problèmes ayant des retombées majeures sur les plans économique ou social;
ou
    *   tirent parti de la participation inestimable des organismes extrascolaires.
 2.  Activités de formation des étudiants en sciences mathématiques : cours d'été, didacticiels, ateliers, cours abrégés ou autres activités similaires qui offrent aux étudiants diplômés et aux boursiers postdoctoraux une formation technique s'ajoutant à leur programme d'études normal.
Nous nous intéressons particulièrement aux activités qui demandent la participation de nombreux étudiants diplômés.
