[cmath] Fwd: ICME-12 IPC meeting

Note from Bernard Hodgson on the upcoming meeting 
of the program committee for ICME-12.  This is 
really the last chance to make significant input 
on the structure or general theme of the meeting.

This note is a reminder that the International 
Programme Committee (IPC) for ICME-12 will have 
its first meeting next month in Seoul, on June 
14-17.  (This information was already announced 
in ICMI News no 8 (February 2009), where the composition of the IPC is given.)

I wish to stress that it is at this meeting that 
the IPC will finalise decisions about the general 
structure of the scientific programme.  (The IPC 
meet have its second meeting in February 2011, 
but it will then be too late to introduce major 
changes about the framework of the programme.)

You are thus invited to send your comments and 
suggestions on the programme of the congress. 
Please provide feedback from your own experience 
at the last ICMEs, and that of your colleagues, 
and comment on elements of the programme that in 
your opinion went fine and should be kept, others 
that maybe went not so fine and would need 
modifications, or new ingredients to be added to the programme.

Of course you are welcome to provide suggestions 
on any aspect of the scientific programme, 
including specific themes to be addressed, and 
also names of individuals that may contribute.

Comments or suggestions about the programme of 
ICME-12 should be sent to the Chair of the IPC, 
Sung Je Cho (sungjcho at snu.ac.kr), NO LATER THAN JUNE 1.
