SHARCNET Research Chair
The Department of Mathematics, Brock University, invites applications for
a probationary tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or
Associate Professor to begin on or after July 1, 2008.
The department currently has a very active group with international
collaborators in symbolic computing emphasizing applications to PDE's and
integrable systems. We are seeking an individual who will complement
current activity in the department and bring exceptional research
excellence in Mathematics to the Shared Hierarchical Academic Research
Computing Network (SHARCNET). The successful applicant must hold a PhD (or
equivalent) in Mathematical Sciences, have a record of outstanding
scholarly achievements in Mathematics and a promising research program
involving High Performance Computing (HPC) expected to attract external
funding.
We are looking for applicants with enthusiasm for the supervision of
students and with excellent teaching abilities at both the undergraduate
and graduate levels.
