Applications are invited for a probationary (tenure-track) position in 
geometry. This position is at the Assistant Professor level and is 
scheduled to commence on July 1, 2008.

The Department is seeking candidates with an outstanding record of 
research and publication in an area of geometry with a preference for 
algebraic geometry, arithmetic geometry, differential geometry, 
mathematical physics, and non-commutative geometry. Candidates should have 
a commitment to and demonstrated aptitude for teaching at both the 
undergraduate and graduate levels and to supervise doctoral dissertations. 
Postdoctoral research and teaching experience is expected.
