Lecturers at ICM 2010

The name of the chair of the program Committee for ICM 2010 is now known: Hendrik W. Lenstra has
been appointed Chair of the Program Committee of the International Congress of Mathematicians 2010
in Hyderabad, India, 19-27 August 2010 by IMU President L. Lovasz. It was published in the
IMU-Newsletter together with the sentence:
“If you have proposals concerning the scientific program of ICM 2010, please contact Prof. Lenstra
by e-mail.”

The International Affairs Committee will prepare some input for the Committee with suggestion of
Canadian speakers. The help of the whole community is needed in order to put together the list of
Canadian contributions which should be honoured by an invitation to lecture at ICM 2010. You are
invited to submit your proposals together with a justification of at most one page to Christiane
Rousseau by September 1st 2007 (rousseac at dms.umontreal.ca).

Conférenciers au CIM 2010

Le nom du président du comité de programme pour le CIM 2010 est maintenant connu: Hendrik W.
Lenstra a été nommé président du comité de programme du Congrès International des Mathématiciens
de 2010 qui se tiendra en Inde, à Hyderabad, les 19-27 juillet 2010. Sa nomination apparait dans
le Bulletin de l’Union Mathématique Internationale avec la mention: « Si vous avez des
propositions à faire pour le programme scientifique du CIM 2010, veuillez contacter le Prof.
Lenstra par courriel. »

Le comité des affaires internationales va préparer des suggestions de conférenciers canadiens à
l’intention du comité de programme du CIM 2010. L’aide de toute la communauté est requise pour
préparer la liste des contributions canadiennes qui méritent d’être couronnées par une invitation
à donner une conférence au CIM 2010. Vous êtes invités à soumettre vos propositions avec une
justification d’au plus une page à Christiane Rousseau pour le 1er septembre 2007
