The Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences at the University
of Alberta invites applications for a tenure-track position at the
Assistant Professor level in Mathematical Physics. We offer an excellent

candidate should have demonstrated a commitment to undergraduate and
graduate education.

All aspects of Mathematical Physics, both pure and applied, will be
considered. Current interests within the department are conformal field
theory and string theory, geometric analysis and PDEs, mathematical
relativity, mirror symmetry, random matrices, and integrable systems.

Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, a teaching profile outlining
experience and/or interests, and at least three confidential letters of
reference to:

within 3-4 weeks of the deadline date. Those not contacted are thanked for
their interest and encouraged to apply for future positions advertised by
the University.

All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and
