A conference on 3-dimensional topology and its role in mathematics, on
the occasion of Peter Shalen's sixtieth birthday. To be held June
12-15 at CRM in Montreal, Quebec. Sponsored by Centre de Recherches
Mathematiques, CIRGET, and the National Science Foundation.

PARTICIPANT TRAVEL SUPPORT IS BEING PROVIDED BY NSF AND CRM.
Graduate students and recent graduates are particularly encouraged to
apply.  Information is available at http://www.crm.umontreal.ca/Shalenfest/
We will begin making travel awards at the end of March.
