Professorships over the next several years. Applicants must demonstrate
excellent accomplishments and outstanding promise in research and strong
commitment to graduate and undergraduate teaching. Preference will be
given to researchers in the areas of Analysis (Code: ANA), Algebra (Code:
ALG), Geometric Analysis (Code: GAN), and Applied Mathematics (Code:
AM). However, exceptional candidates in all fields of pure or applied
mathematics are encouraged to apply (Code: OTHER).

Application material must include the candidate's Curriculum Vitae and
list of publications. Applicants must arrange to have four letters of
reference, of which at least one letter primarily addresses the
candidate's teaching, sent directly to the appointments

Professor with tenure, and the Chair holder is expected to be an
outstanding mathematician, whose research and teaching will make a major
contribution to the quality and stature of the department. The appointment
is effective July 1, 2006.

Mossman Chair

This position is for an outstanding mathematician, whose research and
teaching will make major contributions to the quality and stature of the
department.

Tenure-stream

These positions are for people with proven impact. This means that the
candidate should normally have at least 2-3 years of active research and
teaching after receiving their Ph.D. Successful applicants will become
regular faculty members.

CLTA / Postdoctoral positions

These positions are for beginning mathematicians. Candidates should
consult the Faculty Directory for a list of faculty members, and contact
those who are closest to their field of research. CLTA (Contractually
Limited Term Appointments) candidates are usually within two to five years
after receiving their Ph.D. degrees. They can and are encouraged to apply
for NSERC grants. As the name indicates, these positions are not
tenure-stream. Postdoctoral candidates are usually no more than two years
after receiving their Ph.D. A postdoctoral application should include the
same material as required for a CLTA position, with the indicator code
"PDF" specified in the cover letter. over the next several
