The CMS Student Committee is looking for proactive mathematics students
interested in building a dynamic community for Canadian mathematics
students. The Committee wishes to fill vacancies in its membership,
including a student representative from Quebec, a student representative
from Western Canada, and a student webmaster.

Among the Student Committee's current projects are: publishing a national
student newsletter, developing a resource Web site for students, helping the
CUMC in preparing its proceedings, supporting local student math conferences

In addition to Committee duties, student Board members represent students on
the CMS Board of Directors and attend the CMS biannual meetings.  These are
all volunteer positions.

The Committee and Board members' terms will run from July 1, 2005 to June
30, 2007. Both graduate and undergraduate students are invited to apply.

Le Comité des étudiants de la SMC recherche des étudiants proactifs en
mathématiques  ayant intérêt a bâtir une communauté dynamique pour les
étudiants canadiens en mathématiques  Le Comité veut combler les postes
vacants suivants: un(e) représentant(e) du Québec, un(e) représentant(e) du
Ouest du Canada et un webmaître. Le Comité espère qu'un des étudiants nommés
voudra servir comme membre du Comité et comme délégué au conseil
d'administration.

Parmi les projets courants du comité des étudiants sont: publier un
périodique national pour étudiants, développer une ressource Web pour les
étudiants, aider la CCEM dans ses préparations, soutenir des conférences et
colloques locaux pour les étudiants en mathématiques  Pour plus

En plus des responsabilités du Comité, les délégués représentent les
étudiants au Conseil d'administration de la SMC et participent aux réunions
biannuels de la SMC.  Ces postes sont tous volontaires.

Le mandat des membres du Comité et du délègue au Conseil d'administration
sera du 1 juillet 2005 au 30 juin 2007.
