Ongoing Faculty Position in Mathematics - Kamloops

Full time, ongoing position in Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at The University College of 
the Cariboo, which becomes Thompson Rivers University in April 2005, 
invites applications for a full time, ongoing position at the Assistant 
Professor level (in exceptional cases, an appointment at a higher level 
may be possible). Anticipated starting date is August 1, 2005. Candidates 
in all areas of Mathematics or Statistics will be considered. The 
successful candidate will have completed a doctoral degree in Mathematics 
or Statistics. Applicants near completion of their Ph.D. will also be 
considered. Teaching excellence is required. The successful candidate will 
be expected to maintain an active research program.

In April 2005, UCC in Kamloops will become BC's newest, and fourth largest 
university - Thompson Rivers University. TRU is a primarily undergraduate 
institution with more than 9,000 students in over 40 university degree 
options and 50 diploma and certificate programs. Located in Kamloops, the 
heart of the B.C. Southern Interior, TRU's spectacular campus features
