    Postdoctoral Position in Symbolic Dynamics & Ergodic Theory:

     The Department of Mathematics at Trent University invites
applications for a one year postdoctoral position in the area of
symbolic dynamics and ergodic theory, commencing July 1, 2005.

  Trent University is in Peterborough, Ontario, about 1.5 hours
northeast of Toronto.  More information about the Math Department can

   Applications should include:

   -A current curriculum vitae.

   -A description of recent research activities.

   -(optional) One or two recent publications/preprints exemplary of
the candidate's research.

    Arrange for letters from three referees (to be sent separately).
