PIMS is partnering with the Canadian Mathematical Society, the Banff
Centre
and the Bridges Conferences to present:

RENAISSANCE BANFF:
mathematical connections in art, music, and science.

Location:  THE BANFF CENTRE, BANFF, ALBERTA
JULY 31 - AUGUST 3, 2005

 * computer generated and assisted art   * gallery displays of visual art
 * working sessions with artists * mathematics in music
 * ethno-mathematics  * symmetry and tiling * music and theatre

The last day of the conference will be COXETER DAY, set aside to
celebrate the
extensive connections of the late Donald Coxeter to art and artists
around the world.
