AFFILIATION:  MFA

DUTIES:
To teach a range of University Mathematics courses (mainly at 1st or
2nd year level). Successful applicant will generally teach 16 hours of
lecture per week (eight one-term courses per year).

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:
Ph.D. in Mathematics or Statistics from an appropriately accredited
institution. Ability and background to teach at least one of our
upper-level course offerings. Willingness to teach at Malaspina's
regional campuses. Must possess a valid BC Driver's License and have a
confirmed satisfactory driving record (as specified in Malaspina
University-College policy and procedures). Candidates must demonstrate
commitment to teaching, learning, and student success through
scholarship and institituional service. Successful candidates will
participate in a wide range of activities outside the classroom,
including student support, institutional, faculty, and department
committee meetings, and other initiatives, and professional activities
in keeping with their disciplines in and outside the institution.
Applications must include a complete Curriculum Vitae, evidence of
teaching ability at the post-secondary level (equivalent to at least
one year full-time), including teaching evaluations (if available), an
overview of teaching and research interests, and the names of three
(3) referees and their contact information (phone, email).

Individuals with enthusiasm for a long and successful career,
primarily in teaching, are encouraged to apply.
