TENURE-TRACK FACULTY POSITION IN COMPUTATIONAL MATERIALS PHYSICS

Applications are invited for a probationary (tenure-track) faculty
position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Computational Materials
Physics, in the Department of Applied Mathematics at The University of
Western Ontario (http://www.apmaths.uwo.ca/). The Department is
seeking an outstanding researcher to complement the existing strengths
of the research group in (soft) condensed matter physics within the
Department and the Faculty of Science. Candidates whose work focuses
on the interface between the mesoscale and either quantum-scale or
continuum scale regions (e.g. using finite element methods) are
strongly preferred. The expected start date for the position is July
1, 2005.

The position will entail active participation in the activities and
service of the Department of Applied Mathematics, including the
supervision of graduate students and teaching at the graduate and
undergraduate levels. To ensure full consideration, applications
including a c.v., names of three referees and a research proposal
