PIMS Site Director Appointed at the University of Alberta

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Pacific Institute for the
Mathematical Sciences I am very pleased to announce the appointment of 
Gerald Cliff as Site Director for PIMS at the University of Alberta. 

Gerald Cliff is a Professor in the Department of Mathematical and Statistical
Sciences at the University of Alberta.  He was born and raised in Montreal. He
obtained his B.Sc. at McGill in 1970 and his Ph.D. in Mathematics at the
Unversity of Illinois at Urbana in 1975. He has been at the University of
Alberta since 1975.
 
We are looking forward to working with Gerald, and out thanks go to 
Bryant Moodie, for taking over as Acting Site Director during 
the interim period.
