Postdoctoral Fellowship
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Fellow position in APPLIED
PROBABILITY/DISCRETE MATHEMATICS in the Mathematical Sciences Group at the
University of Saskatchewan. This position is available for a one-year term
beginning September 1, 2004. The successful applicant is responsible for
teaching one 3 credit unit course per term in the Department of Mathematics
and Statistics. Preference will be given to candidates with a proven
interest in modelling of biological, chemical or physical systems and an
ability to work with members of the group and specifically Chris Soteros
(<http://mathsci.usask.ca/~soteros>http://mathsci.usask.ca/~soteros).
Knowledge of Markov Chain Monte Carlo methods, statistical mechanics,
lattice models of polymers, or enumerative combinatorics will be considered
an asset. The annual salary offered for this position is $35,000 Canadian
dollars.
