Coxeter-James, Jeffery-Williams, Krieger-Nelson Prize
Lectureships


The CMS Research Committee is inviting nominations for three prize
lectureships. These prize lectureships are intended to recognize
members of the Canadian mathematical community.
The Coxeter-James Prize Lectureship recognizes young mathematicians
who have made outstanding contributions to mathematical research.
Nominations may be made up to ten years from the candidate's Ph.D. A
nomination can be updated and will remain active for a second year
unless the original nomination is made in the tenth year from the
candidate's Ph.D. The selected candidate will deliver the prize
lecture at the Winter 2005 Meeting in Victoria. Nomination letters
should include at least three names of suggested referees and a recent
C.V., if available. The recipient shall be a member of the Canadian
mathematical community.

The Jeffery-Williams Prize Lectureship recognizes mathematicians who
have made outstanding contributions to mathematical research. A
nomination can be updated and will remain active for three years. The
prize lecture will be delivered at the Summer 2006 Meeting in Calgary.
Nomination letters should include three names of suggested referees
and a recent C.V., if available. The recipient shall be a member of
the Canadian mathematical community.

The Krieger-Nelson Prize Lectureship recognizes outstanding research
by a female mathematician. A nomination can be updated and will remain
active for two years. The prize lecture will be delivered at the
Summer 2006 Meeting. Nomination letters should include three names of
suggested referees and a recent C.V., if available. The recipient
shall be a member of the Canadian mathematical community.
The deadline for nominations is September 1, 2004. Letters of
nomination should be sent to the address below.
