		CMS/CAIMS - POSTER SESSION

The upcoming joint Summer 2004 Meeting of the Canadian Mathematical
Society (CMS) and the Canadian Applied and Industrial Mathematics
Society (CAIMS), with participation from the Canadian Society for
History and Philosophy of Mathematics (CSHPM) and the Canadian
Symposium on Fluid Dynamics (CSFD), to be held June 13-15 at Dalhousie
University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, will feature a graduate student
poster session.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduate students in mathematics
and related fields to present their work using a medium which
represents a significant alternative to a contributed talk. The poster
presentation gives the viewer the chance to absorb and understand the
poster content at an individual pace. The viewer also has the chance
to interact with the presenter at a one-on-one level and thus gain a
deeper understanding of the presenter's work.

The poster session for the 2004 meeting will be held on Sunday, June 13th.
Graduate students attending the conference and wishing to present a poster
are invited to submit an abstract describing their poster presentation.
The abstract can be submitted through the abstraction submission form
on the 2004 meeting website

	 http://www.cms.math.ca/forms/abs-s04

or sent to gs-abstracts-s04 at cms.math.ca.

Please specify your wish to participate in the poster session
The abstract must be received before April 10, 2004 and must be accompanied
by its contributor's registration form and payment of the appropriate fees.

The poster session organizers are Alan Coley ( Dalhousie) and
Franklin Mendivil (Acadia).
