Mathematics and Statistics

Applications are invited for a tenure track position as Assistant
Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer
Science, beginning August 1, 2004. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in
statistics, applied statistics or a related field, and will be
expected to provide leadership in developing and maintaining a strong
undergraduate statistics program, and to foster collaborative and
consulting work within the university community. Applicants with a
Ph.D. near completion are also encouraged to apply.  Preference will
be given to individuals who have exhibited a commitment to high
quality teaching, and show promise of developing a strong research
program.  The selection process will begin April 15, 2004, and will
continue until the position is filled.  Applicants should send a
curriculum vita, a transcript of their graduate work, and should ask
