**May 12, Celebrating Women in Mathematics**

The second World Meeting for Women in Mathematics that took place in Rio in 2018 chose May 12, the birth date of Maryam Mirzakhani, as the annual date to celebrate women in mathematics.

The website https://may12.womeninmaths.org/# contains several suggestions for local activities to celebrate this day. (CW: some gender binary language in link.)

This initiative is supported by several organizations for women in mathematics worldwide (European Women in Mathematics, Association for Women in Mathematics, African Women in Mathematics Association, Indian Women and Mathematics, Colectivo de Mujeres Matemáticas de Chile and the Women's Committee of the Iranian Mathematical Society).

Other organizations are welcome to join this initiative. To do this, they are required to

- accept that their name is added to the May 12 website
- provide contact information
- disseminate the initiative through their channels
- submit information about their activities around May 12 to the May 12 website.

** Le 12 mai, Célébration des femmes en mathématiques**

La deuxième réunion mondiale des femmes en mathématiques qui s'est tenue à Rio en 2018 a choisi le 12 mai, date de naissance de Maryam Mirzakhani, comme date annuelle pour célébrer les femmes en mathématiques.

Le site Web (en anglais) https://may12.womeninmaths.org/# contient plusieurs suggestions d'activités locales pour célébrer cette journée. (ADC: langage de genre binaire dans le lien.)

Cette initiative est soutenue par plusieurs organisations de femmes en mathématiques du monde entier (European Women in Mathematics, Association for Women in Mathematics, African Women in Mathematics Association, Indian Women and Mathematics, Colectivo de Mujeres Matemáticas de Chile et le Women's Committee of the Iranian Mathematical Society).

D'autres organisations sont invitées à se joindre à cette initiative. Pour le faire, elles sont tenues de

- accepter que leur nom soit ajouté au site Web du 12 mai
- fournir leurs coordonées
- diffuser l'initiative parmi leurs membres
