L'affiche en document attaché contient la nouvelle malheureuse que le 
mathématicien tchadien, Ibni Oumar Mahamat Saleh, enlevé de son 
domicile à N'Djamena par des forces de l'armée tchadienne en février 
2008 est mort en détention.

Des collègues et des sociétés savantes (dont la SMC), de France et 
d'autres pays, continuent une campagne pour connaître la vérité sur 
les circonstances de sa détention et de sa mort.  Nous enourageons les 
membres de la SMC à imprimer et afficher cette annonce et à se joindre 
à ce mouvement.

The attached poster contains the unfortunate news that Chadian 
mathematician Ibni Oumar Mahamat Saleh, who was abducted from his home 
N'Djamena by government agents in February 2008, died in detention.

Colleagues and learned societies (including the CMS), in France and 
other countries, are continuing a campaign to have the circumstances 
of his detention and death investigated independently, so that the 
full truth can be known.  We encourage CMS members to lend their 
support, as indicated on the SMF webpage noted on the poster.
