À toute la communauté du CRM, à toute la communauté mathématique  
canadienne,

Nous sommes heureux de vous annoncer la nomination de Christiane  
Rousseau au poste de directrice intérimaire du Centre de recherches  
mathématiques (CRM) jusqu'au 31 mai 2009. Christiane Rousseau est bien  
connue de la communauté mathématique canadienne, pour laquelle elle a  
beaucoup travaillé, tant au niveau national qu'international. Nous  
sommes convaincus que son mandat profitera aussi bien au CRM qu'au  
développement des mathématiques canadiennes.

Nous tenons à remercier Anne Bourlioux qui a assuré l'intérim depuis  
le 1er juin jusqu'à aujourd'hui.

Le comité chargé de chercher un directeur au CRM poursuit ses travaux.  
Ce comité est constitué de Steven Boyer (UQAM), Louise Dandurand (VP- 
Research, Concordia), Joseph Hubert (VR-Recherche, UdeM), Dmitri  
Jakobson (McGill) et Yvan Saint-Aubin (UdeM).

To the CRM community, to the Canadian mathematical community,

We are delighted to announce the nomination of Christiane Rousseau as  
interim director of the Centre de recherches mathématiques (CRM). Her  
mandate begins immediately and will end May 31, 2009. She is well  
known in the Canadian mathematics community for her energetic and  
enthousiastic work, both at the national and international level. We  
are convinced that her mandate will be fruitful for both the CRM and  
the development of Canadian mathematics.

We would like to thank Anne Bourlioux, who acted as interim director  
from June 1st till today.

The search committee is working actively, with the appointment of a  
permanent director expected for June 2009. This committee is  
constituted of Steven Boyer (UQAM), Louise Dandurand (VP-research,  
Concordia), Joseph Hubert (VR-recherche, UdeM), Dmitry Jakobson  
(McGill) and Yvan Saint-Aubin (UdeM).
