The Academy for Educational Development (AED) is currently looking for 
Content Specialists (Mathematics & Science) with experience at the 
primary, preparatory, and/or secondary school levels to be part of the 
expanding school reform effort in Qatar.

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN DOHA, QATAR!

Funded by the Supreme Education Council of Qatar, AED isserving as a 
School Support Organization (SSO) to five independent schools in Doha, 
Qatar. The primary role of the SSO is to ensure that the schools are well 
managed and that the reform principles are being integrated into the 
school. AED strives to improve the instructional quality and leadership of 
the school by interacting with and providing guidance to the school 
principal and school staff.

Position Summary:
The Content Specialists provide daily technical assistance in both content 
and pedagogy to the teachers in one school while providing a supportive 
environment for school change to occur. As subject experts, the Content 
Specialists will work closely with the teachers on all major components of 
curriculum development, standards implementation, teacher quality through 
daily mentoring and coaching and ongoing assessment and professional 
development.

AED is offering competitive salaries and benefits along with free housing,

phone. The Content Specialists will work as part of a team which includes 
an English Specialist, Science Specialist, School Management Advisor, and 
a translator.

Requirements:
Qualified candidates must have the following experience:
- Senior level academic training in a field related to education, science or mathematics
- At least five years of experience in improving basic education
- Experience with primary, preparatory, and/or secondary levels science or mathematics
- At least five years teaching experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong team building skills
- Demonstrated excellence in presentation skills and the design and delivery of teacher professional development
- Ability and interest in relocating to Doha, Qatar on short notice
- Demonstration of cultural awareness
