Attention mathematics students:


The 15th annual Canadian Undergraduate Math Conference will be taking place
at the University of Toronto this summer, July 9th-12th.  This annual
national conference is a great opportunity for undergraduates to hear and
give talks on all kinds of mathematical topics, to meet fellow
mathematically inclined students from across the country, to hear some
amazing guest lecturers, and have a little fun too.


If you are an undergraduate student with an interest in math - whether your
field of study is math, physics, computer science, applied math, stats, or
anything else - we encourage you to register for the conference.  We also
encourage you to give a short talk - either on your research topic, or on a
topic of your interest.


Also, since the CUMC is hosted by a different Canadian university each
summer, we hope that you'll consider hosting the 2009 conference at your
university. You just need to check with your math department.  Then you can
make a bid to host the 2009 CUMC at the 2008 conference.  E-mail us for more
information.

Votre attention, étudiants en mathématiques :


La 15e Conférence Canadienne des Étudiants en Mathématiques (CCÉM) aura lieu
à l'Université de Toronto cet été, du 9 au 12 juillet. Cette conférence
nationale annuelle est une belle opportunité pour les étudiants au
baccalauréat d'entendre et de donner des conférences sur tous les types de
sujets mathématiques. C'est aussi une belle occasion de rencontrer des
étudiants venant de partout au Canada intéressés par les mathématiques,
d'entendre des conférenciers incroyables et d'avoir du plaisir !


Si tu es un étudiant au baccalauréat avec un intérêt pour les mathématiques
(peu importe si tu étudies en mathématique, physique, informatique,
mathématiques appliquées, statistique ou dans n'importe quel autre domaine)
nous t'encourageons à t'inscrire à la conférence. Nous t'encourageons aussi
à donner un court séminaire (sur ton sujet de recherche ou sur un sujet qui
t'intéresse).


Aussi, comme la CCÉM a lieu dans une université canadienne différente à
chaque été, nous espérons que vous considérerez le fait de recevoir la
conférence 2009 à votre université. Vous n'avez qu'à vérifier avec votre
département de mathématiques. Ensuite, vous pourrez postuler pour recevoir
la conférence 2009 durant la conférence 2008. Envoyez nous un courriel pour
plus d'informations.
