The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of New Brunswick 
in Saint John invites applications for one eight-month contract position 
in Mathematics, to begin September 1, 2008.  The position is at the rank 
of Assistant Professor and is subject to final budgetary approval.

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics. UNB Saint John is committed 
to excellence in its undergraduate and graduate programs and preference 
will be given to candidates demonstrating excellence in teaching and 
research. The Department offers Mathematics Majors through B.Sc. and B.A. 
degree programs, a B.Sc. degree with a joint Mathematics- Economics major 
and a degree in Financial Mathematics program. Candidates in all areas of 
Mathematics are encouraged to apply but some background in financial 
mathematics is desirable.

publications, a statement of research interests and teaching philosophy,
