The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of New
Brunswick invites applications for a tenure-track instructor position to
begin August 1, 2008. The position provides an opportunity for the
successful candidate to:
- Teach mathematics courses, principally at the first and second year
levels with a normal teaching load of seven courses: three courses in each
of the fall and winter terms and one in Intersession;
- Engage in other duties such as High School liaison activities,
activities related to the transition from high school to university,
assisting with the activities of the Math Help Centre, and development of
computer laboratory and homework materials. In any year, the normal
teaching load may be reduced commensurate with the level of other assigned
duties.
The successful applicant will have a minimum of an MSc in Mathematics or a
related field, and relevant teaching experience. Familiarity with
mathematical software such as MATLAB would be considered an asset.

statement regarding teaching interests, philosophy, and objectives.
