DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS AND COMPUTING SCIENCE

The Department of Mathematics and Computing Science at Saint Mary’s 
University invites applications for a tenure-track position in 
Mathematics at the rank of Assistant Professor, to begin July 1, 2008. 
We are especially interested in candidates with research expertise in 
Analysis, but we may also consider strong applicants in other areas.

Candidates should have (or should be about to attain) a Ph.D. in 
Mathematics; and must both demonstrate an ability to pursue innovative 
research and have a strong commitment to teaching.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach a variety of courses, 
primarily at the undergraduate level, but there is also the opportunity 
to participate in supervision of graduate students in a graduate program 
in applied science with a co-op option.

Candidates are asked to provide a CV, summary of teaching experience, 
description of a proposed research program, and other relevant 
documentation, including the names and addresses of at least three
